Vegetables to be a part of the Guinness Records

A corn to be added in the Guinness Book of World Records for sprouting 28 cods.

August 29, 2019 | New Jersey

A corn cod has been added in the Guinness Book of World records on August 29, 2019. The story was vastly covered by the US media making it one of the headlines on the news platforms.
The cod is owned by Mark Jacovelli, a New Jersey resident. The Jersey man stated that he used grows tomatoes and other plants in his backyard, but he isn’t a professional farmer and didn’t even plant the corn plant on purpose.
He claims that the corn plant’s seed was carried by squirrels that come into his backyard. he told the correspondents on the Courier-Post, “I started counting the cobs. It was more than I’ve ever seen in my lifetime”
After seeing this unusual nature of the corn cord, he contacted the Guinness Book of World Records, looking for previous records and realized that the previous record for the maximum number of corn stalks was 16, set in Swedesburg, Iowa in 2009. But, with his discovery, he gave his dear corn cod the fame that it deserved.
